Office of Youth and Family Advocacy (OYFA)

This office, created in 2017, serves as a firsthand resource working directly with youth and their families to foster communication and amplify their voice in the juvenile justice system.

Visitation is an important component of a youth’s stay in a detention or residential facility, and it is encouraged and supported by DJJ staff.
